It is essential in many cases to monitor the oxygen saturation in blood to insure that the tissue will be supplied with enough amount of oxygen to warrant its survive and doing its normal metabolic processes. Furthermore it is of great importance to avoid any sudden change in the body that may suspends the oxygen supply to certain tissue, which means that we have to detect the causes of the problems in early stages to prevent hazardous sequences.
We are developing an innovative multi-sensor system that enables the monitoring of vital parameters and allows the diagnostic of cardiovascular diseases non-invasively in an easy manner. Fuzzy logic and Neuronal Network are applied by data fusion for the detection of further parameters from the different signals of the sensors and finally decision making by the diagnosis of CVDs. The multisensor consists of sensors that measure different parameters from the body in a non-invasive manner:

At least one Pulshemometer (PHM) is used and measures the fractional oxygen saturation as well as hemoglobin concentration. Photoplethysmogram (PPG) is applied for further diagnosis purposes.
